2. When can my child join Scouting?
 
Starting age for Beavers is usually 6, the earliist a child can join is 5 years 9 months. Looking ahead, children can join Cubs from around the age of 8 and Scouts from 10 and a half. Explorer Scouting starts at 14 and runs until Scouts are 18.  There is also an opportunity from the age of 18 to 25 to be a Network member
 
3. How much does membership cost?
 
Our Group Membership fees are £60 per year, payable by the 1st January for the coming year. this pays for rent and other over heads.
 
We ask for £2 per session, (£1 for DofE) to cover the week to week costs.
 
Activities and Camps vary in price from a few pounds to around £250 for a week long summer camp -  Just remember parents/carers if cost is a barrier to your scouting please talk to us in confidence
 
4. How will my child benefit from joining Scouts?
 
Parents tell us their children benefit hugely from the adventures, fun and friendships they experience. It can help develop your child’s social skills and independence, and give them access to some amazing and memorable opportunities.
 
5. Is there a  waiting list?
 
No - your child should be able to join our group straight away
